2024 COMMUTER RAIL SUMMIT:
Registration is closing

At 9 pm Eastern TODAY CRC will be closing out Summit registrations for 2024. Guests interested in attending only the Champions of Commuter Rail Awards Dinner celebrating MBTA’s Jody Ray and US DOT’s Jennifer Mitchell, will have until 6 pm Monday to purchase tickets.

Don’t miss this once-a-year opportunity to convene, connect, and collaborate over the issues driving the commuter rail industry.

2024 SUMMIT FELLOWS

MBTA has selected two student interns to receive the 2024 Summit Fellowships.

Thanks to the efforts of Summit golf coordinators, Tom Austin (Railhead) and Gary Wagner (Amsted Rail), registrations for Mallory Bedford and Anel Tarakbay have been fully funded.

Ms. Bedford is an MBTA Graduate Student Operations Intern assisting with Ferry Operations within the Railroad and the Ferry Operations Department. She is excited to start her career as a Project Coordinator in the MBTA’s office of the COO upon completion of her internship. Mallory recently graduated with her master of public affairs degree from Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. Before going to Brown, she attended Pepperdine University and was a public policy and international affairs JSI Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University.

Ms. Tarakbay has been a rider behavior and equity analyst intern at OPMI department of MBTA for over 9 months. Anel has an urban planning background and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in urban planning from Boston University. She is passionate about research and leveraging data and technology to create smarter, more efficient urban environments.
